About the employer:
This employer provides a high quality service for looked after young women (aged 12 to 18) with therapeutic residential care. There are two homes, which are 30 minutes and 1 hour south of London, respectively, accommodating five/six young women in each.
This is a small organisation, which takes a personalised, strengths-based and relational approach to its work with young people who have emotional, behavioural and social difficulties and complex needs resulting largely, but not exclusively, from early life experiences of abuse, neglect and trauma. These difficulties include low self-esteem, attachment difficulties/disorder, and difficulties with emotional regulation, destructive behaviour and extreme emotional distress, as well as behaviour that places them at risk including self-harm, alcohol and substance misuse, running away and sexually inappropriate behaviour.
