You will join the Data & Insights team of GroupM; a passionate and talented team of 8 persons who love diversity and welcome initiative. Our mission is to deliver actionable insights for our clients to improve their media and communication strategies. To assure our ambitious goals, we have access to tons of data and are on top of Belgians’ finest media research. We provide smart analysis and great visualisations by using advanced reporting, top-notch modelling and state of the art dashboarding. We believe everything is possible as long as you really want it and we are proud to have some of the best data scientists, analysts and researchers in our ranks locally as internationally.
You will take a very important role in our Data & Insights team. Your first mission is to take full responsibility of the competitive reporting (Nielsen) including the further development of the analysis tool after an intensive one month training period. After one year -following a clear training program- you should be able to perform the broad spectre of analysis that help our client managers to improve their clients’ strategies by using all of the available sources inhouse, including market trends (Euromonitor, nVision etc.). Once you get acquainted with the whole GroupM offering, you will be promoted project manager for some of GroupM’s propriety surveys. Within an acceptable timing and following a series of positive evaluations, you could become head of the Insights department within the Data & Insights team.
We are looking for a rising star with a Bachelor's or Masters’ degree. No special need for working experience. We truly believe talent and attitude beats experience and we love positive ambitious persons. In a fast moving media environment, we face many challenges and continuous change, so we are thus looking for people who are not afraid to take ownership on projects and give proof of a clear ‘consider it done mentality’. As an important “actor” in the service industry, we expect you to be service minded by nature, but with a good twist of assertiveness. The job requires you to love analysing data and thus being precise is a no brainer. You need to be proficient in Microsoft Office. Having a good knowledge of SPSS and/or Business Objects is a plus. To see the big picture, you need to be able to combine analytical skills with conceptual thinking. We believe everything starts and ends in media, so being media passionate is a real must … so are your future team mates. If you want to deserve to join a great team, we will need you to be a great team player and strong communicator. Being part of a big international group, means that we expect you to be fluent in French, Dutch and English (or at least over time).
We do not like to waste your time. That is why you will get extensive -on the job- trainings by your direct colleagues (CIM and Nielsen syndicated surveys, GroupM and agencies propriety surveys, market specific tools, etc.). We want motivated people, who also think that time is money and believe self-development is the way to go in life. On a monthly base, you can attend internal seminars on diverse hot topics (voice, AI, E-commerce, etc.). You also will be able to participate into sector trainings and initiatives (CommPass Media School, sessions, club33, etc.). Via Lynda.com, you will have the possibility to boost your knowledge even further via self-learning.
