What you bring to the role…
• Experience in the travel or hospitality industry
• Proven experience with coordinating logistics as well as strong implementation skills
• Possess the ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables in a timely manner to ensure the project meets target deadlines
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization as well as external vendors and contacts
• Proven knowledge of software applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point (with the willingness and ability to learn new applications as needed)
• Proven negotiation experience
• Strong interest in the travel industry


Front Office Management: Activities such as Check In/Out, verification of all reservations for that day, ensuring the guest's wellbeing and personally taking care of their wishes and requests. Furthermore they double check all payments and making sure that all the invoices are collected. The students are taking responsibility and are developing a very professional attitude. The colleagues at the reception teach them everything they need to know and are always helpful in case the students have questions. Nowadays, it is all about giving guests an EXPERIENCE, from the moment a guest enters until they leave, guests should feel that the way the service was given, that it was a unique experience, longing for it to happen again. Even in an ibis Styles. Our furniture is adapted to the service agreement levels, and a new way of interaction is possible. Since this is very new, and it forces people to get out of their comfort zone, not everybody is so thrilled in doing this. The student can come up with new creative manners, ideas, on how to touch the heart of the guests;
Next to knowing the operational skills, you will learn the tips and tricks of yield management, daily forecast, how to create a schedule, HR related matters (evaluations and how to question)

Food and Beverage Management: Activities such as assisting in the Breakfast area, checking the Stock, applying HACCP. The hotel also has meeting rooms, we are fully concentrated on finding a very unique way to serve our coffee breaks, and ideas are most welcome. Students here are always placed central and we listen to their renovation, they have a new brighter perspectives on the matter. The Harbour Bar is also open 24/24, we serve some snacks, but even that could be improved. Next to knowing the operational skills, the student is allowed to sit together with the F&B Manager and run through the Menu, where is improvement needed ? Ok, there is an idea for a cocktail, of what should it contain and what are the costs ? Is one supplier cheaper then another ? Helping to prepare those analysis. Located at the seaside, a new concept for the terrace and what to serve, analyzing what is popular on the market, creating a foodconcept that we can apply during the entire summer period, and a plan b for in winter time.
